Mark Gray

Mark Gray started his journalism career in 2001 and has regularly contributed to PEOPLE since 2007. He is the go-to Las Vegas reporter, covering everything from concerts to movie premieres to sports events and even true crime.

In addition to PEOPLE, Mark's work has appeared in Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, MSN.com, Wonderwall.com, Caesars Player, Vegas Player, M Life, Speed on the Water and more. He is currently working on his first book.

Mark's career began as a general news writer at the Standard-Examiner in Ogden, Utah, but he was soon promoted to lead crime reporter. After moving to Las Vegas in 2005, he worked as a PR practitioner for many high-level nightclubs, but the allure of reporting drew him back into writing. His first story for PEOPLE was a feature on the cast of HBO's Entourage. Since then, he has covered concerts, movie premieres, hotel openings, sports events and true crime.

From 2018-2020, he co-hosted and produced a highly-rated entertainment-based talk show on KXNT radio, continually drawing national attention via celebrity interviews. Guests included Grammy-nominated singers, reality TV stars, Emmy-winning television personalities, professional wrestlers and casino presidents, among others.

Mark was the sole print reporter on the scene at the 2017 Route 91 Harvest Festival mass shooting, and he penned a first-person account of the massacre just hours after it ended. His article was featured on CNN, Fox News and MSNBC.

Since 2021, he's written a weekly satirical newsletter on sports betting for Vegas-based Station Casinos under the monicker "Steven Money."
