A$AP Rocky Gushes Over ‘Pretty’ Girlfriend Rihanna as He Looks Back on Couple’s Famous 2022 Pregnancy Reveal 'Fits

A$AP Rocky can't stop talking about how amazing Rihanna is.

The "D.M.B." rapper sat down with Vogue to break down 21 of his most iconic looks over the years and was asked about his and Rihanna's January 2022 pregnancy photo shoot in Harlem, N.Y., where Rocky grew up.

The photo shoot, which surprised everyone when it dropped, featured the "Work" singer in a bright pink duster jacket by Chanel worn open with low-rise, jeans to reveal her baby bump. Reflecting on the photo, Rocky couldn't help but share how "pretty" she looked while carrying with their first son, RZA.

"My girl, even though she from Barbados, she look like she from the Bx, she look like she braid hair on the weekends," he gushed. "My girl, she rocking that pink with them denim and she got her jewels just going, and she looks pretty and happy."

Elsewhere in the video, the rapper was asked about having Rihanna star in his 2013 "Fashion Killa" music video. According to Rocky, he called Rihanna to star in the video, and she was enthusiastic about being his muse.

"I just liked the rawness and anything that felt like authenticity," he said. "I just hit up the flyest chick that I knew."

Rocky continued, "I was like 'Riri, what's good? You gonna do this video with me? I got the perfect song, it's called "Fashion Killa." I'm basically talking about you. I dropped your name in it and all.' I ain't even have to say all that. She was like, 'Gang, I got you.'"

In a sweet moment, the rapper added that Rihanna "knew she was my boo back then too. I'm gonna come clean."

The "Fashion Killa" music video is a pivotal moment in Rocky and Rihanna's relationship — in the song, Rocky raps "Versace, got a lot/ But she may never wear it/ But she save it so our babies will be flyer than their parents." Ten years after the song's recording, he and Rihanna welcomed their first son, RZA Athelston Mayers in 2022. In 2023, the couple welcomed their second son, Riot Rose.

In 2021, the rapper opened up about his romance with Rihanna in a feature with GQ, calling her the "love of my life." He told the outlet that being in a relationship feels "so much better. So much better when you got 'the One.' She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones. I think when you know, you know. She's the One."

Rocky and Rihanna were first linked to each other in late 2019 and confirmed their relationship after making their red carpet debut at the British Fashion Awards on Dec. 2, 2019. The couple will celebrate their sixth anniversary later this year.
