On April 15, Max debuted the trailer for the highly-anticipated new season of the Sex and the City sequel series. After And Just Like That... first premiered in Dec. 2021, it returned for a second season in June 2023. Before season 2 episodes finished airing, the streamer renewed it for a third installment. "We are thrilled to spend more time in the Sex and the City universe telling new stories about the lives of these relatable and aspirational characters played by these amazing actors," executive producer Michael Patrick King said upon the season 3 news. "And Just Like That... Here comes season three." The trailer for the upcoming season teases a new beginning for Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and her circle of friends. While the columnist gets used to her luxurious Gramercy Park townhouse, Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) admits she likes a woman who is her "work contact" and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) navigates being a mother to her teenage children. Meanwhile, Aidan (John Corbett) is still in the picture, but living out of town — and keeping things romantically complicated for Carrie. The third season will consist of 12 episodes, with new installments dropping every Thursday, leading up to the finale on Aug. 14, according to Max. There are also some new New Yorkers this new season. Rosie O’Donnell is in the first episode, playing a character named Mary. Karen Pittman, who portrayed Miranda's friend Nya Wallace in the first two seasons, will not return due to the actress' scheduling conflicts. Pittman was already a series regular on Apple TV+'s The Morning Show and is part of the cast for the new Netflix original series Forever.
