The toddler was shot at a home on Robin Hood Lane in Hampton, Ga., around 12 p.m. local time on Wednesday, March 12, according to Fox 5 Atlanta, WSBTV and Atlanta News First, which cited police. The 2-year-old, whose identity has not yet been released, was reportedly airlifted to a local hospital after being treated at the scene by Henry County Fire Rescue units, the outlets reported. Officials told Fox 5 that the child is in stable condition. Per the outlet, investigators believe the victim’s twin sibling "gained possession of the firearm" and accidentally discharged the weapon.
